Our office had been located in this bright, modern
building since 1990 with easy wheelchair accessibility. |
 |
As you enter the office you will be greeted by our two receptionists,
Deborah and Laraine, who will help you check in and they will familiarize
you with our office procedures. They are responsible for scheduling appointments
and helping you with payment and insurance inquiries. They will also be
pleased to answer your phone call during our regular office hours. |
 |
This is our reception area which is very sunny
and bright with lots of natural light from the skylight. It is decorated
in a bright, bold colour scheme. This is a quiet area for parents to relax
and we have a good selection of up-to-date magazines for your reading pleasure.
There is a young childrens corner with toys to keep them occupied while their
sibling is undergoing treatment. The large aquarium with many colourful
fish is also popular with younger children and adults too! |
 |
This is the initial consultation room where the
patient is first seen by Dr. McWade. He will do a thorough facial and dental
examination to determine if orthodontic treatment is required and when the
best time would be to start. Parents are invited to be present so Dr. McWade
can show them in their child's mouth what the various problems may be. |
 |
This is our bright and open treatment area with lots of windows
to provide a pleasant area for our staff to cater to our patients. Dr. McWade,
Kim and Shelley see the patients in this area to place the braces or appliances
and to make the frequent adjustments to them. Parents are welcome to be
present here while this work is being done. |
 |
This is the on-site laboratory where our lab assistant, Barb,
pours the models of the teeth and makes the retainers that are worn after
the braces are removed to hold the teeth in their new positions. She also
analyzes the X-rays on the computer to help Dr. McWade in his diagnosis
and treatment planning. |
 |
This is our modern, up-to-date X-ray machine which takes the two extra oral
X-rays that Dr. McWade requires to analyze the teeth and the jaw structure
to determine the health of the teeth and the kind of jaw growth. All this
information is used to determine the best treatment plan for the patient. |
 |
This is our records room where the hygienist
takes molds of the teeth and digital photographs which along with the X-rays
that are taken next door allow Dr. McWade to fully analyze the problems
and recommend the appropriate treatment at the proper time. |
